‘Won’t forgive myself for what I did with my career’, says Nasir Jamshed

Former Pakistan cricketer Nasir Jamshed acknowledged his wrongdoing in relation to the spot-fixing controversies.

Sharing a video on X (formerly Twitter) featuring his daughter displaying cricketing skills, the 34-year-old expressed regret for his actions, stating, “I can’t forgive myself for the mistakes I made in my career.”

He pledged to train his daughter, remarking, “I deeply regret my actions, but I’ll strive to pass on my talent to my daughter and provide her with the best opportunities.”

Following his involvement in spot-fixing scandals in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Nasir Jamshed received a 10-year ban and served a 17-month jail term in the UK.

Jamshed had represented Pakistan in two Tests, 48 ODIs, and 18 T20Is from 2008 to 2015.
