PTI leader Aleema Khan has said the party and the family of former prime Minister Imran Khan are continuing their efforts to ensure the restoration of all his legal rights while he remains in custody.

Speaking to the media, Aleema Khan said their primary concern is that Imran Khan should receive all the rights guaranteed under the law. She said these include proper medical treatment, an end to solitary confinement, regular meetings with family members and visitors, access to books and television, and the opportunity to speak with his children.

She said the family believes these are legal rights that should be provided without restrictions. According to her, the issue is not about seeking special treatment but about ensuring that the rights available under the law are fully respected.

Aleema Khan said the family feels concerned whenever people suggest they should be satisfied if only one family member is allowed to meet Imran Khan. She maintained that the discussion should focus on his legal rights rather than on limited visitation arrangements.

She further alleged that attempts were being made to divert attention from Imran Khan’s situation. However, she said the family would continue highlighting his case and would not allow attention to shift away from what they described as the need to restore his legal rights.
