LAHORE: The Punjab Auqaf Department organized a special conference at Data Darbar to honor the life, character, and contributions of the third Caliph of Islam, Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA). Religious scholars, government officials, and devotees attended the event. They reflected on the remarkable legacy of one of the most respected figures in Islamic history.
The conference took place at the Jamia Masjid of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) in Lahore. Participants discussed the teachings, leadership qualities, and welfare initiatives of Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA). They also highlighted the continued relevance of his principles in the modern world.
Secretary and Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta attended the gathering as the chief guest. During his address, he paid rich tribute to Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA). He described him as a symbol of generosity, justice, humility, and public service. Dr. Bhutta said the life of the third Caliph continues to inspire Muslims worldwide. He added that his leadership remains a timeless example of compassion and responsibility.

He further stated that governments and public organizations can learn from the welfare-oriented vision of Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA). Public service, he stressed, should remain the primary objective of governance. He also encouraged officials to adopt honesty, transparency, generosity, and accountability in their professional responsibilities.
Dr. Bhutta reaffirmed the Auqaf Department’s commitment to promoting these principles. Hafiz Anees-ur-Rehman highlighted the role of the third Caliph in strengthening the foundations of the early Islamic state. He said Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA) supported numerous welfare projects. According to him, the Caliph demonstrated patience, tolerance, and a deep commitment to justice throughout his life.
