Bajwa persuaded Saqib Nisar to favour Imran, Malik Ahmad Khan alleges

Former CJP insists Bajwa never influenced him calling claim absurd and entirely without foundation

Malik Ahmad Khan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has said that former army chief General (retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa had persuaded then-chief justice Saqib Nisar to favour Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

However, the former CJP insisted that the then chief of the army staff never had any direct or indirect influence over his choices calling the claim absurd and entirely without foundation. In the same case, Imran Khan was deemed to be both “Sadiq” (truthful) and “Ameen” (honest).

According to former chief justice Saqib Nisar, the entire Bani Gala was constructed illegally and the case focused on registering all of the properties there.

Malik Ahmad Khan at a recent TV talk show said that general (retired) Bajwa had given Imran Khan an NRO. When queried about the supposed NRO’s nature he advised Imran Khan to speak up and affirm under oath that he was not provided with it during the Bani Gala house case’s hearing by the court presided over by Justice (Retired) Saqib Nisar.

Malik asserted that he had all the information on what happened, when it happened, who was involved and who sent what texts to whom. Malik responded to a query with, “I stand by it and I have full proof to support that.”
