Bilawal Bhutto condemns Fazl-ur-Rehman’s protest

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has advised Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam’s (JUI) president Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman to hold his protests in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). During a press conference discussing Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s protest, Bilawal Bhutto stated that the protest should be based on reality and that Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman should have investigated the wrong statements made by his followers.

Bilawal Bhutto also criticized the joint session of parliament protest by the opposition on Thursday, stating that it sent a negative message to the world and was not a democratic protest. He stated that opposition criticism is welcome within the parliamentary circle.

Furthermore, Bhutto praised former president Asif Ali Zardari for addressing the parliament for the seventh time and providing a roadmap to improve the country’s weak economic situation. He expressed disappointment that the opposition had chosen a different path during the protest.
