GUJRANWALA: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Gujranwala has established 32 marking centres across its jurisdiction for the assessment of answer scripts of the annual Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part-I and Part-II examinations 2026.
According to board officials, more than 486,000 candidates appeared in the Class 9 and Class 10 annual examinations this year, while over 3.87 million answer scripts are being assessed at the designated centres set up in Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Mandi Bahauddin and Hafizabad.
The marking process is currently under way, with the board expecting to announce the SSC Part-II (Class 10) annual examination results on August 6, subject to completion of the assessment and result compilation process.
Officials said head examiners, examiners, sub-examiners, marking coordinators and subject specialists have been assigned duties at all marking centres to ensure the evaluation process is completed on schedule.
Controller of Examinations Nadeem Ahmed said experienced teachers and subject specialists had been engaged for the marking exercise. He added that examiners were provided training before the assessment process to maintain uniformity and improve the quality of marking.
He said senior board officials are regularly visiting the marking centres to monitor the evaluation process and ensure transparency as well as compliance with the prescribed marking standards.
“The marking work is progressing at a satisfactory pace, and every effort is being made to complete it within the stipulated timeline,” the controller said.
