British department trains airport staff

The British Department for Transport, in alignment with the directives of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), has undertaken the initiative to train personnel stationed at airports. This comprehensive training program encompassed various stakeholders within the aviation domain, including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the Airport Security Forces (ASF), customs officials, and members of the CAA.

It has been reported by officials that the British Department not only conducted training sessions but also extended support in the form of software and advanced hardware to enhance the operational capabilities of the CAA. A noteworthy event took place in Karachi, where a ceremony was organized to acknowledge the successful completion of the Threat Image Recognition Computer Training Program.

Distinguished guests graced the occasion, among them being Dr. Joe Vital, the Head of Security and Justice at the British High Commission. His presence acknowledged the importance and collaboration between the British and Pakistani authorities in bolstering airport security measures.
