CAA Director General removed from post

The Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Khaqan Murtaza, has been relieved of his duties and reassigned as the Chairman of the Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI).

Saif Anjum, the Secretary of Aviation, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of leading the CAA, as per the notification.

Federal Secretary of Aviation Saif Anjum will assume this dual role for three months. Following approval from the Cabinet, Khaqan Murtaza has been designated as the Chairman of EOBI.

The selection process for the new Director General of the CAA is underway, with four aviation experts, including Imran Aslam, being considered for the position.

Secretary Saif Anjum will continue to serve in his expanded role until the appointment of the new Director General of the CAA.
