CCPO Lahore reviews security arrangements for 9th Muharram processions

Lahore – Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bill Siddique Kamyana visited Imambargah Pando Street in Islam Pura and inspected the route of the main 9th Muharram procession to review security arrangements at Majalis and procession routes.

During the visit, Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Faisal Kamran briefed the CCPO on the security measures in place. SSP Operations Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem, SP Security Dr. Muhammad Umar and SP City Atif Ameer also accompanied him.

Speaking on the occasion, the CCPO said Lahore Police remained fully alert on the 9th of Muharram and had implemented foolproof security arrangements for all majalis and mourning processions across the city. He emphasized that security standard operating procedures (SOPs) for processions and majalis were being strictly enforced without exception.

Bilal Siddique Kamyana stated that security arrangements throughout the city were being monitored round the clock through modern control rooms. He expressed satisfaction over the performance of security personnel, noting that officers and officials deployed along procession routes, adjoining buildings and access points were carrying out their duties with dedication and vigilance.

The CCPO directed all police officers and personnel on duty to remain highly vigilant and closely monitor their surroundings. He reiterated that security would remain on high alert until the peaceful conclusion of all Muharram gatherings and processions to ensure public safety and maintain law and order in the city.
