Chairman FBR addresses passing out ceremony of IRS officers of 50th STP

The ceremony celebrating the graduation of IRS Officers from the 50th Specialized Training Program (STP) took place at the IRS Academy in Lahore.

Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana, the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), honored the event as the chief guest, alongside former Chairpersons and senior officers of FBR.

During his address, Chairman FBR extended congratulations to the officers for completing the STP successfully and offered best wishes for their future endeavors. Highlighting the importance of tax collection and compliance, he expressed confidence in meeting the revenue targets for the current year. He applauded the IRS officers for their diligent efforts in enforcing tax laws nationwide.

The Chairman commended the Director General of IRS Academy for providing high-quality training to the officers and stressed the significance of continuous learning and skill development. He urged the officers to utilize their newly acquired expertise to enhance tax administration in Pakistan.

Certificates and awards were presented to the graduating officers in recognition of their exceptional performance throughout the program.

The STP is a rigorous training initiative aimed at equipping IRS officers with the necessary skills and knowledge for their future roles. The 50th batch, comprising 25 officers, underwent a comprehensive yearlong training covering various aspects of tax administration.

The successful conclusion of the passing-out ceremony signifies a new beginning for the graduating officers as they embark on their roles as Assistant Commissioners IRS in field offices, ensuring adherence to tax laws.
