China asserts unbreakable bond with Pakistan amid terrorist attack

China reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to its “all-weather strategic cooperative partnership” with Pakistan, emphasizing that no effort to disrupt the robust cooperation between the two nations would prevail.

Lin Jian, a spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry, delivered this message during a routine briefing, following a recent terrorist attack in Pakistan that claimed the lives of five Chinese citizens.

Expressing vehement condemnation for the terrorist act, Lin Jian extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. He underscored China’s immediate activation of emergency protocols, including close coordination with Pakistani authorities in Beijing and Islamabad, to swiftly address the situation.

Urging Pakistan to conduct a thorough investigation and apprehend the perpetrators, Lin Jian emphasized the imperative of bolstering security measures to safeguard Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions in Pakistan.

Assuring continued support in Pakistan’s fight against terrorism, Lin Jian reiterated China’s firm stance against all forms of terrorist activities. He pledged to collaborate closely with Pakistan to fortify the safety and security of Chinese personnel and assets in the region.

In response to the attack, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan to extend condolences and solidarity to the affected families and the Chinese government.
