Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr Badr Abdelatty to exchange views on regional developments and matters of mutual interest.
The two foreign ministers stressed the importance of maintaining close coordination on regional issues. They agreed that continued consultations would help the two countries remain closely engaged on developments affecting the region.
The officials also discussed coordination through the Regional Four (R4) foreign ministers’ mechanism, which includes Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye. They underscored the importance of working together and maintaining regular contact on key regional matters.
During the conversation, Dar and Abdelatty also reviewed the state of Pakistan-Egypt bilateral relations. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the longstanding and fraternal ties between the two countries.
The two ministers expressed their desire to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and maintain high-level engagement in the coming months.
