Don’t forget Gaza during Ramadan, urges Ishaq Dar

Ishaq Dar, the Foreign Minister, stressed on Wednesday the importance of not forgetting the people of Gaza during Ramadan.

In his remarks, Dar highlighted Pakistan’s pursuit of support for non-permanent seats in the Security Council, with backing from the Asia-Pacific Group (APG).

He reiterated that Pakistan’s foreign policy prioritizes peace, equality, and justice.

In another context, Dar advocated for nuclear and hydro energy during a summit in Brussels. He emphasized their recognized status as secure energy sources globally and recounted his participation in a nuclear energy meeting in Brussels, where he raised pertinent issues. Dar noted the widespread support his stance received from global leaders during the meeting.

He mentioned Pakistan’s long-standing vision for nuclear energy since the 1960s, despite international scrutiny, and emphasized the safety and effectiveness of nuclear and hydro energy in addressing climate change. Dar also highlighted the completion of various nuclear projects by previous governments, resulting in the addition of 3800 megawatts of electricity to the national grid.
