Polling has concluded for the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections, and vote counting is underway. Initial unofficial and unconfirmed results have started to come in from several constituencies.
GBA-1 Gilgit-I:
With results from 5 of 80 polling stations counted, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Amjad Hussain leads with 873 votes. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Muhammad Shafiquddin follows with 473 votes.
GBA-4 Nagar-I:
After counting votes from 24 of 53 polling stations, PPP’s Muhammad Ali Akhtar has secured 3,003 votes and holds a narrow lead over Islamic Tehreek Pakistan’s Muhammad Ayub Waziri, who has received 2,832 votes.
GBA-5 Nagar-II:
Results from 10 of 32 polling stations show independent candidate Jahangir Shah in front with 743 votes, while PML-N’s Javed Ali Manwa has obtained 560 votes.
GBA-6 Hunza:
According to results from 12 of 88 polling stations, independent candidate Nek Nam Karim leads with 937 votes. Independent candidate Raja Nazim-ul-Amin stands second with 478 votes.
GBA-7 Skardu-I:
With votes counted from 13 of 31 polling stations, Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party candidate Raja Jalal Hussain Khan is ahead with 1,862 votes. PPP’s Syed Tauqeer Mehdi has secured 1,610 votes.
GBA-8 Skardu-II:
Results from 8 of 70 polling stations place Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan’s Muhammad Kazim in the lead with 1,228 votes. PPP candidate Syed Muhammad Ali Shah follows with 936 votes.
GBA-9 Skardu-III:
After counting votes from 6 of 54 polling stations, PPP’s Fida Muhammad Nashad leads with 967 votes, while independent candidate Wazir Muhammad Saleem has received 806 votes.
GBA-10 Skardu-IV:
Results from 2 of 51 polling stations show PPP candidate Nasir Ali Khan ahead with 137 votes. Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan candidate Mushtaq Hussain is second with 92 votes.
These figures remain unofficial and non-final as the counting process continues across the region.
