Election items distribution process suffers delay in Thatta

Election staff faced a host of problems during the process of poll items distribution on Wednesday. According to sources presiding officers of five polling stations could not make it to their destination till late Wednesday night.

Abdul Ghani Palijo, presiding officer of a polling station located in the Market area of Dhabeji city while talking to local reporters at the DRO office said that; owing to improper transport arrangements they could not leave for the polling station.

He further said that they were treated clumsily by the staff of DRO office Thatta. Following the delay in the item-dispatching process SSP Thatta reached the DRO office Thatta to shift election staff to their designated stations.

The Election Emergency Control room has been set up in DRO office Thatta for security surveillance and maintenance of public peace.
