Faisal Quraishi urges Mohammad Ahmed to expose actor’s identity

Pakistani actor Faisal Quraishi has reacted to veteran actor and writer Mohammad Ahmed’s recent claims about being humiliated by a fellow actor during the filming of two projects.

The controversy began after Mohammad Ahmed appeared on a podcast and recalled what he described as repeated disrespectful behavior from a younger actor. Although he chose not to reveal the actor’s identity, his remarks quickly gained attention on social media and sparked widespread discussion within the entertainment industry.

Responding to the viral interview, Faisal Quraishi shared a clip of Mohammad Ahmed’s comments on his Instagram Story and urged him to identify the person involved. In his post, Faisal wrote, “Please tell us the name, Sir Mohammad Ahmed. I should know, and then so should everyone else.”

During the podcast, Mohammad Ahmed said that actors often reveal their true personalities behind the scenes rather than in front of the cameras. He explained that he had experienced such behavior several times throughout his career but had chosen to remain silent.

The senior actor recalled working with a much younger performer, whom he said was nearly 40 years younger than him. According to Mohammad Ahmed, the actor frequently mocked him on set and made sarcastic remarks in front of the cast and crew.

He alleged that the actor once ridiculed his leather bag loudly to attract attention from others. On another occasion, the same actor reportedly questioned why directors continued to cast Mohammad Ahmed, claiming that both his acting style and hairstyle never changed.

Mohammad Ahmed also described another incident in which the actor allegedly picked up a handheld fan from a female co-star and jokingly waved it over his head as though styling his hair with a hair dryer. The gesture, he said, was intended to mock his baldness and embarrass him in front of everyone present.

Reflecting on the incidents, Mohammad Ahmed admitted that the comments hurt him but said he deliberately chose not to respond. He explained that in today’s environment, anyone can record a video on a mobile phone and upload it online in a way that could damage someone’s reputation.

“I know I am bald, I know I have a dark complexion, and I know I am short,” he said, adding that he can laugh at himself. However, he noted that hearing such remarks from someone decades younger felt deeply disrespectful.

The veteran actor revealed that he worked with the same individual on two separate projects and endured repeated criticism about his appearance and acting without reacting. He said he wanted to avoid lowering himself to the same level and did not wish to create problems for the production team, whom he described as respectful and supportive.

Mohammad Ahmed also stressed that the behavior of one individual should not define an entire generation. He praised many younger performers for being professional and specifically commended actress Aina Asif, describing her as a talented and thoughtful artist who focuses on performance rather than appearance.
