Fatima Sana joins Vancouver Anchors for Canada Super 60

Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Fatima Sana has been signed by the Vancouver Anchors for the 2026 edition of the Canada Super 60, adding another milestone to her rapidly growing international career.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 4, with franchises strengthening their squads by recruiting some of the world’s top cricketing talent. The Vancouver Anchors confirmed Sana’s signing through their official social media platforms, welcoming the 24-year-old bowling all-rounder as one of the team’s marquee players.

Announcing the signing, the franchise expressed excitement over adding the Pakistan skipper to its squad, saying she is ready to make a strong impact for the team during the upcoming season.

The announcement comes at a significant moment in Sana’s career as she is also set to make history by becoming the first Pakistan women’s cricketer to feature in The Hundred. She is expected to make her debut for Birmingham Phoenix in their opening match against Southern Brave in Southampton.

Sana joined Birmingham Phoenix after replacing Australia’s Lucy Hamilton, who withdrew from the tournament as part of Cricket Australia’s workload management plan. As the replacement overseas player, Sana will receive the tournament’s minimum salary of £15,000.
