Film ‘Once Upon a Time in Karachi’ to release in June

‘Once Upon a Time in Karachi’, Abu Aleeha’s third cinematic project for year 2022, after ‘Javed Iqbal’ and ‘Shot Cut’, has received its release date, which happens to be June 10.

The film stars Mohsin Abbas Haider, Nausheen Shah, Marhoom Ahmad Bilal, Mahrukh Mirza, Adnan Shah Tipu and Yasir Taj, with its teasers hinting at a pure action film in store; the actions backed by real-life socio-political mishaps.

Here and there, the viewers get to see a little bit of romance as well to compensate for the over-dose of stunts which the film promises through Mohsin Abbas Haider, who seems to have put in a lot of effort for the film’s fight sequences.

‘Once Upon a Time in Karachi’ was initially slated for release in 2020, but like multiple other Pakistani films, was put on hold owing to COVID-19 restrictions. With the re-opening of cinemas, the film has received its new release date.

However, unlike many films releasing on Eid-ul-Fitr, ‘Once Upon a Time in Karachi’ will be released later, in the month of June, and will also differ from the initially released rom-coms because of its storyline which will be revolving around the socio-political situation of modern-day Karachi.
