Karachi: Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) following a major robbery at a mobile phone shop in Gulshan-e-Hadeed Phase I, based on the complaint filed by the shop owner.
According to the complainant, two armed men riding a motorcycle entered the shop and escaped with 50 to 60 iPhones, around 30 used touchscreen mobile phones, approximately 20 boxed mobile phones, and Rs660,000 in cash kept inside mobile phone boxes. The robbers also allegedly took an additional Rs300,000 from a black shopping bag before fleeing the scene.
Station House Officer (SHO) Gulzar Tanio of Steel Town Police said that the stolen iPhones were reportedly non-PTA approved devices. Police have registered FIR No. 775/2026 under Sections 392, 397, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code and handed the case over to the investigation wing for further inquiry.
