FM Muhammad Aurangzeb holds meeting with CM Murad Ali Shah

During a meeting between Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Sindh’s Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, both parties agreed to enhance support for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Held at the Chief Minister House, the discussion also focused on the reorganization and digitalization of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah highlighted the success of Sindh’s public-private partnership as a noteworthy example. However, he expressed concern over Sindh not being allocated any new projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the past eight years, while other provinces received new projects.

Addressing the issue of funds, the chief minister noted the federal government’s failure to release allocated funds for housing projects aimed at assisting flood-affected individuals.

Finance Minister Aurangzeb assured the chief minister of mediating between the FBR and the Sindh government to resolve any outstanding issues. He also pledged to discuss industrial concerns with the petroleum minister and emphasized the importance of focusing on sectors such as agriculture, livestock, and fisheries.

The meeting delved into detailed discussions regarding the development of the agriculture sector.
