Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gillani stressed the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for regional growth and development on Saturday.
Speaking at an event in Lahore, Gillani said, “CPEC is a significant project that connects the Arabian Sea to other regions. Building strong regional relationships and improving communication are essential for solving problems.”
He mentioned that South Asia is facing many challenges, including economic issues, terrorism, drug smuggling, and security threats. Gillani stated that Pakistan has consistently supported dialogue to address these issues.
“Pakistan has always contributed to promoting peace in Afghanistan,” he added.
