Gone but Not Forgotten: Pakistanis pay tribute to APS martyrs on 9th anniversary of the attack

Today, December 16, 2024, marks nine years since one of the most horrible massacres in history took place. On this day in 2014, armed terrorist trespassed into Army Public School in Peshawar and opened fire on innocent students, killing 139 children in one go and destroying numerous families forever.

The tragic incident, till this day, evokes horror and grief, as young lives became victims to extreme brutality and violence. This incident of such intense cruelty shook the entire nation, as well as the world, as this loss left a void that could not be filled with anything.

On APS attack’s 9th anniversary, many people are expressing their deep sorrow and grief over the loss of young lives on social media, through video messages and photo edits.

The panic and horror that plagued Pakistan following the APS attack was incomparable, as parents were gripped with anxiety and feared sending their children to school again.
