As many as 84,000 intending pilgrims have deposited the first installment of their Hajj 2027 expenses through the digital portal under Pakistan’s government Hajj scheme, the Ministry of Religious Affairs said on Friday.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, the latest figures were released following the collection of payments through the Hajj Digital Platform. The development indicates strong interest among Pakistani pilgrims seeking to perform Hajj under the government-sponsored scheme.
The ministry said that 84,000 intending pilgrims have so far deposited the first installment of their Hajj dues through the digital Hajj portal. A total of Rs52.5 billion has been received through the three payment channels introduced on the Hajj app and portal.
The spokesperson further stated that all 30,000 seats allocated for the long Hajj package have already been filled. However, 23,500 seats under the government scheme are still available for intending pilgrims.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has urged applicants planning to perform Hajj in 2027 to complete their personal information and payment process on the Hajj portal as soon as possible.
Officials have also advised intending pilgrims to avoid delays because the booking process for the 40-day Hajj package will be closed once the required number of applications is reached.
The introduction of digital payment options is intended to make the Hajj registration and payment process more convenient for applicants. According to the ministry, pilgrims can use three different payment methods available through the Pakistan Hajj app and the Hajj portal to deposit their required dues.
The collection of Rs52.5 billion from the first installment reflects the scale of participation in the government Hajj scheme. With a significant number of seats already booked intending pilgrims who have not yet completed their registration and payment are being encouraged to finalize the process promptly.
The government’s Hajj scheme provides Pakistani pilgrims with an organized mechanism for registration, payment and travel arrangements. The digital platform is being used to manage applicants’ information and facilitate the payment of Hajj expenses.
The ministry has emphasized that availability is limited and that bookings will stop once the allocated number of seats for the 40-day package is fulfilled.
Applicants are therefore advised to check their details on the official Hajj portal, complete the required documentation and deposit the applicable installment within the specified timeframe.
The latest figures suggest that demand for Hajj 2027 under Pakistan’s government scheme remains high, with thousands of applicants already completing the first stage of the payment process.
