Husband of Rawalpindi ADC arrested over alleged domestic violence

RAWALPINDI: The husband of a female Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) in Rawalpindi has been arrested on allegations of physically assaulting his wife and was subsequently sent to jail on judicial remand.

According to details, Additional Deputy Commissioner Maleeha Sehar accused her husband, Javed Ali, of subjecting her to physical violence. Following her complaint, a case was registered against the accused at the Women Police Station.

Police later arrested Javed Ali and presented him before the court for further proceedings.

During the hearing, the court ordered that the accused be sent to jail on judicial remand for 14 days.

The case was registered following the ADC’s application, in which she alleged that her husband had assaulted her. Police are continuing the legal proceedings in accordance with the case registered against him.

The allegations will be subject to the legal process, and the accused will have the opportunity to defend himself before the court.
