I stand by every statement i made, Hajra Khan states at book launch

In Islamabad, Balochistan model and actress Hajra Khan Panezai launched her autobiography titled ‘Where the Opium Grows: Surviving Pakistan as a Woman, an Actress, and Knowing Imran Khan.’

During the book launch, she accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan of being a liar and a wicked person.

Panezai, who hails from Balochistan, claimed that Imran Khan used to consume cocaine and criticized him, calling him deceitful and malevolent.

She stated that she began to realize in 2014 that the public perception of Imran Khan as a hero or a messiah was different from his private life. The autobiography, she said, serves as her accountability for her mistakes and foolishness.

During the launch, Panezai stood by every statement made in her autobiography, emphasizing that a significant portion of the book revolves around her interactions with Imran Khan.

She alleged that a 21-year-old girl became pregnant due to a sexual relationship with Imran Khan, stating it as “200 percent true.”

Panezai recounted facing sexual exploitation at the age of six, forming the basis of her autobiography. She revealed that her father joined PTI due to her friendship with Imran Khan, expressing regret over quarrels with friends about PTI.

According to Panezai, Imran Khan was the first to receive the draft of her autobiography in 2014, and she refrained from publishing it initially due to threats.

She claimed that after leaving Pakistan to get it published, a London-based publisher declined, citing difficulties in proving the allegations.

Upon her return to Pakistan, Panezai stated that her social media accounts and emails were hacked. She highlighted that her struggle led to the publication of the autobiography, denying any external influence.

Panezai clarified that her autobiography was not intended to publish a love story or engage in character assassination. She criticized the elitist culture of the show business industry and emphasized her personal observations about Imran Khan.

While acknowledging diverse opinions about her due to her profession, Panezai expressed that she had made choices freely in her life and defended her right to wear anything she liked. She stated that politicians should be accountable for their personal lives, emphasizing that politicians interfere in the personal lives of voters.

Panezai concluded by stating that her struggle was not to secure any political office, and she regretted considering Imran Khan as a messiah. She accused Imran Khan of selling religion and asserted that her autobiography was based on personal observations, not intended to change political loyalties.
