Imran khan’s health issues yet again triggers the country

The health of former prime minister of pakistan , MR. Imran khan has once again became the centre of political and legal attention in pakistan . 

 Sources claim that jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan was to be transferred from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad for medical assessment and treatment following concerns raised over his deteriorating health, high blood pressure, and a reported loss of vision in his right eye .

Family members, lawyers, and his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stated that his health worsened during his incarceration, alleging he suffered significant vision loss in his right eye alongside chronic stress and high blood pressure. 

The Supreme court ordered that khan must be transferred to Shifa international hospital . A medical board will oversee him . There his sister and his personal doctor will be allowed to visit him . 

However the government challenged the supreme courts’ decision as prisoners get their separate medical treatment within the jail premises and the decision of shifting him to Shifa hospital is nothing but irrelevant to them. The government also argued that this decision could set a precedent under which other prisoners might seek similar treatment . Information minister Attaullah Tarrar said the government did not oppose khan receiving medical care but objected to the specification of a private hospital . 

For now , the centre issue remains untouched whether the Supreme courts’ directive to transfer khan to shifa will be implemented as originally ordered or he won’t be allowed access to any private hospital’s medical treatment . However it is confirmed that Imran khan will not be sent abroad under any circumstances.
