The Federal Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, has ordered the blocking of mobile SIMs issued on expired ID cards. During his visit to the NADRA headquarters, a meeting was conducted under his supervision, where he urged the creation of model National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) offices nationwide akin to model police stations in Punjab.
Naqvi highlighted that the implementation of model police stations in Punjab not only enhanced the police’s reputation but also facilitated the public. He announced the elimination of death certificate fees and proposed a streamlined process for acquiring birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates in collaboration with union council offices.
Furthermore, the Interior Minister stated the need to safeguard citizens’ data comprehensively and enhance mobile services for public convenience. He stressed the effective utilization of social media to promote the institution’s initiatives.
