Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has urged the rulers of Gulf countries to identify and confront what he described as their “real enemy.”

In a written message posted on social media and addressed to Gulf leaders, Khamenei said the “criminal rulers” of the United States and Israel were enemies not only of Iran but of the entire Muslim Ummah.

He called on the Gulf states to recognise their “real enemy” and understand its plans and strategies.

Khamenei also urged Muslim countries to strengthen unity and increase mutual defence and cooperation in confronting their common adversaries.

The message was issued on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that no power could force a nation that stood with strength and determination to surrender.

Addressing a ceremony in Tehran, Pezeshkian said Iran had neither started the war nor sought conflict.

“We did not start the war, nor do we seek war,” he said, adding that Iran would stand with full force against any aggressor.

The Iranian president’s remarks came amid heightened regional tensions and growing calls for Muslim countries to strengthen cooperation and collective defence.
