*Islamabad: 4 ICT Police Officials Arrested For Robbing Chinese Citizens At Gunpoint In Kohsar – Rs 20 Lakh Recovered, CCTV Helped Trace The Cops-Turned-Robbers*

ISLAMABAD : Islamabad Police has arrested its own four personnel for their alleged involvement in a daring dacoity at the residence of Chinese nationals in the federal capital – exposing a dangerous pattern of cops-turned-robbers.

According to *confirmed FIR details, the incident took place on *Sunday, October 18, 2026, at around 2:20 AM, within the jurisdiction of Kohsar Police Station in F-7/1 sector.*

*HOW THE DACOITY HAPPENED – FIR DETAILS:*

As per the FIR registered under *Section 395 (dacoity) PPC*, two Chinese nationals were residing in the house in F-7/1.

– A man in police uniform entered the premises and went to the servants’ quarters.
– He woke up a day-shift security guard and a driver who were sleeping and took them outside to a *black Toyota Corolla fitted with a revolving police light.*
– Four men, *three of them in police uniforms*, were sitting in the car, armed with weapons.
– They took the guard and driver back inside, then climbed into the house through a window and held the *two Chinese nationals at gunpoint.*
– They detained the foreigners and two servants in the drawing room and looted *Rs 2 million cash and a mobile phone worth Rs 15,000.*

The security guard suspected that the other guard had colluded with the dacoits and opened the gate.

*HOW THEY WERE CAUGHT:*

SHO Kohsar Police Station traced the accused with the help of *CCTV footage and Safe City cameras*. The four arrested officials were found to be serving in *different zones of ICT Police*. The looted amount of *Rs 20 lakh has been recovered* from them. Police confirmed all four were in uniform at the time of crime and had an accomplice.

Kohsar Police has registered a case of dacoity, house trespass and criminal intimidation and started departmental inquiry as well. IGP Islamabad has taken notice and ordered a transparent inquiry. The Chinese Embassy is being kept in loop.

*THIS IS THE 4TH SUCH CASE – DISTURBING PATTERN:*

This is not an isolated incident. According to Dawn, *it was the fourth house dacoity in which Chinese nationals had been targeted since Aug 29, 2026.* In three incidents, criminals disguised themselves as officials. In two previous cases, serving capital police personnel were identified as suspects.

– *On Sept 13, 2026:* Gunmen in police uniforms raided house of two Chinese nationals *Gao Tan and Li Yichao in G-10/4* and looted *Rs 8 million.* Crime Investigation Agency arrested *six individuals, including three active-duty police officers*. Only *Rs 3.5 million* was recovered. The gang allegedly stayed inside for 1.5 hours, held security guard, cook and translator hostage.

– *On Sept 10, 2026:* Two suspects arrested within 36 hours for robbing a foreigner of *Rs 26 million* in Industrial Area, recovered full amount.

– *On Oct 6:* Three more personnel arrested in Sumbal Police jurisdiction for theft at foreign national’s residence and sent to jail for identification parade.

According to police, during the two-week crackdown announced on Oct 18, Islamabad Police arrested *768 suspects and recovered stolen property worth Rs 217.5 million*, including *84 members of 33 criminal gangs.*

*PM’s INAUGURATION – TRUE BUT UNDER QUESTION:*

It is a fact that Prime Minister *Shehbaz Sharif* had inaugurated the newly formed *Capital Patrol Force* and handed over *50 modern electric vehicles (EVs)* to Islamabad Police on *September 8, 2026*, at a ceremony in Islamabad.

The force comprises *200 personnel, with one male and one female officer in each vehicle, equipped with body cameras*, to ensure modern policing in the capital on the pattern of Dolphin Force.

Sources in Islamabad Police confirmed the arrests but said investigation is underway to determine if the accused officials were part of the newly formed Capital Patrol Force or other units. Initial reports on social media linked them to Capital Patrol Force, but *officially they are described as serving in different zones.*

This incident has raised *serious questions about internal accountability, vetting and surveillance of Islamabad Police*, especially when its own uniformed officials are found robbing foreign nationals at gunpoint using official police lights and vehicles.
