Jamaat-e-Islami’s leader, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, raised allegations that the parties within the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) were given undue advantages during the general elections.
Speaking at a ‘Meet the Press’ event on Thursday, he expressed concern over the conduct of parties that toppled a sitting government, leading the nation into a crisis, and urged them to apologize to the people.
Emphasizing the importance of constitutional supremacy, he criticized the use of Form 47, suggesting it implies a preference for dictatorship over public opinion.
Rehman further highlighted the plight of approximately 250 million out-of-school students, attributing their situation to a systemic failure that needs urgent attention.
He stressed the need for a uniform education system, asserting that education should not be treated as a business but rather as a fundamental national issue.
