Junior Zulfikar deplores poor law and order situation across the province

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto-Junior son of Murtaza Bhutto and grandson of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto during his maiden visit to district Thatta and Sujawal on Saturday deplored poor law and order situation across the province particularly the surging incidents of kidnapping for ransom.

In Thatta, he met with the relatives and family members of Irfan Massehi who was kidnapped around a month ago by a gang of bandits after being lured into the honey trap.
During a media talk in Thatta at the protest camp set up by the Christian community he said that the law and order situation across Sindh had dramatically worsened and markets were being set off for the sale of people.

“The government and the concerned authorities have left the victims alone who are waiting for the safe return of their dear one in the captivity of dacoits”; said Junior Zulfikar who was accompanied by a large number of PPP Shaheed Bhutto workers, adding that now the people across the province were victim of kidnapping and the situation was likely to go from bad to worse in the coming days.

The relative of the abducted youth told Zulfikar Junior that they had been constantly receiving phone calls from bandits who were demanding ransom from them but following poverty they were unable to pay such a huge amount as ransom.

After Thatta, his caravan headed to Sujawal City where once lived the dedicated worker of the Pakistan People’s Party Shaheed Bhutto, Ustad Younous Baan died of cardiac arrest in January this year.

He offered condolences to the son of deceased leader Shahmmer Baan and paid homage to Younous Baan for his lifelong services to the party and his heartfelt dedication. “My heart beats for Sindh and we all have to play our role for a peaceful and prosperous Sindh”; he said during a media talk and a meeting with his party leaders.

He said that he would play an instrumental role in the development of Sindh and not leave his workers alone. He said that his ancestors laid down their lives for the prevalence of democracy in this country.
