Pakistani actress and television host Mashal Khan has shared a heartfelt message on the significance of the tragedy of Karbala, describing it as a timeless lesson in truth, sacrifice, and unwavering faith.

Taking to Instagram on the occasion of Muharram, Mashal posted a video accompanied by a personal reflection addressing a question she said is often asked: why people continue to mourn the events of Karbala. She responded by urging people to first understand the life and character of Imam Hussain (RA), whom she described as a symbol of courage and integrity.

In her message, Mashal said Imam Hussain (RA) sacrificed his family, companions, and even his six-month-old son for the sake of justice and truth, refusing to compromise on his principles. She encouraged viewers to reflect on the sacrifices of the key figures of Karbala, including Hazrat Abbas (RA), Hazrat Ali Akbar (RA), Hazrat Ali Asghar (RA), Bibi Sakina (RA), Bibi Zainab (RA), Hazrat Qasim (RA), Hazrat Aun (RA), Hazrat Muhammad (RA), and Hazrat Hur (RA), saying that understanding their devotion reveals the true meaning of the historic event.

The actress highlighted the bravery of Hazrat Abbas (RA), recalling his unwavering loyalty despite losing both arms, and spoke emotionally about the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali Akbar (RA) and the tragic death of the infant Hazrat Ali Asghar (RA), describing them as powerful examples of sacrifice.

Concluding her message, Mashal Khan said the tragedy of Karbala continues to inspire people to stand with truth against falsehood and justice against oppression. She added that as long as the struggle between right and wrong exists, the message of Karbala will remain alive in the hearts of those who cherish the legacy of Imam Hussain (RA).
