Taking to Instagram on the occasion of Muharram, Mashal posted a video accompanied by a personal reflection addressing a question she said is often asked: why people continue to mourn the events of Karbala. She responded by urging people to first understand the life and character of Imam Hussain (RA), whom she described as a symbol of courage and integrity.
In her message, Mashal said Imam Hussain (RA) sacrificed his family, companions, and even his six-month-old son for the sake of justice and truth, refusing to compromise on his principles.
