Lahore High Court approves travel for Farah Gogi’s children

The Lahore High Court has allowed the children of Farhat Shehzadi, also known as Farah Gogi, to travel overseas, even though there are ongoing investigations into their mother.

In the hearing, the government’s attorney noted that no property is registered under the children’s names and that inquiries against Farah Gogi, a close friend of Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, are still ongoing.

Despite this, the court questioned why the children would be prevented from leaving the country if they were not under investigation.

The Lahore High Court stated, “The children are free and independent,” granting them permission to travel abroad.

Justice Anwaarul Haq Pannu, who led the two-member bench, approved the children’s travel request.

The petitioner asserted that there were no investigations targeting Farah Gogi’s children, suggesting that placing their names on the Exit Control List (ECL) was unjustified and infringed on their basic rights.
