The Lahore Waste Management Company is giving its employees a Rs5,000 bonus ahead of Good Friday and Easter to show appreciation.
CEO Babar Sahib Din confirmed the decision, mentioning that the bonuses are specifically for Christian workers to honor the significance of the holidays.
A total of 9,199 sanitary workers, 73 supervisors, 250 drivers, and six helpers will receive the bonuses for their hard work.
CEO Babar Sahib Din stressed the importance of a city-wide zero waste operation before Good Friday, with workers extending their shifts by two hours for thorough cleaning.
Additionally, 266 churches across the city will be cleaned before Easter, along with manual sweeping and scraping in 78 Christian colonies to improve cleanliness and hygiene.
