Maryam Aurangzeb praises Punjab’s Muharram security

Senior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb praised the security arrangements during Muharram, saying law enforcement agencies performed their duties with professionalism and dedication. Speaking in the Punjab Assembly, she said the successful management of Muharram reflected the Punjab government’s commitment to maintaining peace and public safety. She added that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had earned appreciation from across the country for ensuring effective security measures during the religious observance.

During her speech, Aurangzeb also criticized the opposition, accusing its members of making false claims while invoking the names of Allah. She urged them to avoid politicizing Ashura and instead respect the religious significance of the occasion.

The senior minister further claimed that the current Punjab government had focused on governance and development rather than creating economic instability. Taking aim at the previous administration, she described the Billion Tree Tsunami project as one of the biggest scandals in Pakistan’s history.

Highlighting the government’s performance, Aurangzeb said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz remained actively engaged in addressing public issues, while provincial ministers continued working around the clock. She added that the government relied on hard work and effective governance to deliver results rather than excuses.
