Maryam orders full treatment support for 13-year-old Ayesha

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed the provincial government to bear the full cost of treatment for 13-year-old Ayesha from Rawalpindi.

The chief minister took notice of a report highlighting the girl’s medical condition and her family’s appeal for financial assistance. She directed the relevant authorities to ensure that Ayesha receives the required treatment without delay.

Maryam Nawaz ordered the Punjab government to cover all expenses related to Ayesha’s bone marrow transplant. Doctors have estimated the cost of her treatment at around Rs2.5 million.

Ayesha is suffering from Fanconi anaemia, a serious blood disorder that has affected her health. Doctors have advised a bone marrow transplant as an important part of her treatment.

Her family had been facing difficulties in arranging the large amount required for the procedure. Ayesha’s father, Abid Hussain, had appealed for help to save his daughter’s life.

The case came to public attention after a report highlighted Ayesha’s condition and the financial difficulties faced by her family.

Following the report, Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir contacted the affected family. He assured them that the administration would provide all possible assistance and support.

Maryam Nawaz also sought details about Ayesha’s condition and treatment from the deputy commissioner. She directed officials to coordinate with the family and relevant medical authorities.

The chief minister said the provincial government would ensure that financial constraints do not prevent the young girl from receiving necessary medical care.

Officials have been directed to facilitate the treatment process and provide support to the family during the medical procedure.

Ayesha’s family has welcomed the government’s intervention. The financial assistance is expected to ease the burden on her parents and help her undergo the required bone marrow transplant.
