Actress Minka Kelly and singer Dan Reynolds have ended their relationship after about four years of dating, People reported Wednesday.

An unnamed source close to the couple told the magazine that the split “happened recently.”

Kelly and Reynolds first met in late 2022 through a mutual friend and were first seen together that November during a dinner in Los Angeles.

In a 2024 interview, Reynolds said they initially spoke by phone for about a month before meeting in person while Kelly was working in Britain.

He said they bonded over their creative work, with Reynolds sending his songs to Kelly and Kelly sharing excerpts from her book, Tell Me Everything: A Memoir.

“She’s like, ‘Well, if you’re going to share your art, I can share something with you, but it’s very vulnerable for me. Do you want to do this or not?’ She was very scared for me to read the book because we hadn’t met, just as much as I was scared for her to hear a song that I’d written,” Reynolds said.

“But we shared it and then it ended up being a really beautiful thing and brought us a lot closer. I think it helped us both kind of understand each other on a deeper level quite quickly,” he added.

The couple kept their relationship relatively private before making their first major public appearance together at the MOCA Gala in Los Angeles on May 30, 2026.

Kelly marked Reynolds’ 39th birthday by posting a tribute to him on Instagram.

“Thank you for making ordinary days feel extraordinary, for making me laugh until I can’t breathe, and for loving so deeply and so freely. Celebrating you is one of my favorite things to do. I love you, Dan. Happy birthday,” she wrote.

During their relationship, Kelly also formed a relationship with Reynolds’ four children, Arrow, Valentine, Gia and Coco, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Aja Volkman.

Neither Kelly nor Reynolds has publicly commented on the reported split.
