Missing body found after two months near Thatta

A decomposed body of a youth was recovered from a water channel near Gharo town of district Thatta on Monday.

The deceased identified as Abdul Ghafoor Ghaban drowned in KDA water channel while saving his brother around two months ago.

Both brothers were taking bath in the water channel when his brother was trapped in the shallows. He saved the life of his brother but drowned after trapping in the water flow.

The relatives of the deceased started searching for the body with help of local divers and the Pakistan navy but could not succeed and eventually lost hope. After around two months they received information from local villagers that a body was found entangled in the nets.

The relatives of the deceased identified the body through clothes last worn by him. The body was in a tained condition with a foul smell emitting out. The body was then taken to the native village of the deceased for burial.
