NCCIA Punjab dismisses 4 officials in departmental accountability proceedings

LAHORE: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Punjab has dismissed four officials, including three sub-inspectors and an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), following departmental accountability proceedings conducted at an Ardali Room.

The proceedings were held on the directions of NCCIA Punjab Director Muhammad Ali Wasim to review departmental complaints, performance-related issues and disciplinary cases involving personnel.

A total of 28 officials appeared before the forum, including 13 sub-inspectors, four ASIs, two head constables, seven constables, a driver and a female technical official. The proceedings were aimed at addressing employees’ grievances, improving departmental functioning, maintaining discipline and ensuring better public service delivery.

After reviewing the cases and examining available records and evidence, the authority ordered the dismissal from service of three sub-inspectors and one ASI. Four other officials were handed severe disciplinary penalties.

The proceedings also resulted in orders to withhold one annual increment for one year in the cases of four officials. In other cases, officials were given relief and warned to exercise greater caution and strictly comply with departmental rules and regulations in the future.

During the proceedings, Director Muhammad Ali Wasim stressed that discipline, transparency and timely resolution of public complaints were essential to improving the agency’s performance and strengthening public confidence.

He directed personnel to perform their duties with integrity, responsibility and in accordance with the law, adding that departmental accountability would continue and officials found negligent or in violation of rules would face action under the applicable disciplinary regulations.
