Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has criticized Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for wearing a police uniform, likening it to a new episode of a drama. He characterized Maryam Nawaz as a drama queen, suggesting that her appearance in the police uniform is part of a theatrical performance gaining popularity, despite its lack of authenticity.
Saif remarked sarcastically that Maryam Nawaz’s donning of the police uniform implies she will now apprehend burglars in Jati Omra, fulfilling childhood fantasies. He advised her to focus on practical initiatives rather than theatrical displays.
Saif further derided Maryam Nawaz as a fake chief minister, entertaining the public with her antics. However, he cautioned that entertainment alone cannot address the public’s needs and urged legal action against her for donning the uniform, suggesting that a First Information Report (FIR) should be filed against her for this violation of institutional norms.
