Nida Yasir Faces Backlash for Sharing Another Maid Theft Story on Her Show

Actress and TV host Nida Yasir is once again facing criticism from social media users — this time for sharing yet another story about a domestic worker allegedly stealing from her home.

During a recent episode of her morning show Good Morning Pakistan, Nida recounted an old incident involving a maid that took place when her children were very young and she herself wasn’t professionally active.

She explained that a friend of hers had recommended her own maid’s daughter for work at Nida’s house. At the time, Nida’s children’s school was located far from home, while her friend’s children went to a nearby school.

Nida said that she used to drop her kids off at school and often stayed there for a while. During that time, the maid would be home alone. One day, her friend asked if the maid’s mother (her own maid) could spend time at Nida’s house with her daughter while waiting for school to end. Nida agreed without hesitation.

She revealed that whenever she and her husband Yasir Nawaz were away from home — typically in the mornings — the maid and her mother had full access to the entire house. According to Nida, the two women gradually stole expensive items from the storage area of her home. The thefts continued for as long as the maid worked there.

Nida admitted that her biggest mistake was placing blind trust in the maid and not refusing her friend’s unusual request.

This isn’t the first time Nida Yasir has shared stories of theft involving domestic workers. In earlier episodes of her show, she spoke about a foreign maid who allegedly stole valuables from her home. She has also mentioned experiencing theft incidents during trips to countries like Italy and Turkey.

However, her repeated sharing of such stories has sparked mixed reactions online. Some viewers sympathized, while others criticized her for seemingly turning every incident into a segment.

One social media user sarcastically suggested that Nida should dedicate a full episode to listing all the thefts she has experienced, as she always seems to have a new story.
