Omar Sarfraz challenges jail trial of Jinnah house case

Omar Sarfraz Cheema, former governor of Punjab, has contested the decision to hold the trial of the arsons case outside Jinnah House in Lahore High Court (LHC).

During the proceedings at LHC, Omar presented his perspective on the matter, emphasizing that the notification for the jail trial did not adhere to proper rules and regulations. He argued that the applicant deserves the right to a fair trial in accordance with the law.

In his petition, the former governor of Punjab urged the court to order a trial to be conducted in an open court setting.

It’s worth noting that Omar Sarfraz is facing accusations related to the attack on Jinnah House and the subsequent arsons case.
