Pakistan celebrates Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ with religious fervour

Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), is being observed across Pakistan with deep religious devotion and respect.

The day began with a traditional gun salute, while mosques, public buildings, streets, markets and neighbourhoods across the country have been decorated with colourful lights and banners. Religious gatherings, Milad ceremonies and processions are being held in different cities as people express their love and devotion for the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Special prayers are also being offered for the peace, progress and prosperity of Pakistan. Mosques are hosting gatherings where religious scholars and speakers are highlighting the life, teachings and message of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), while recitations of Durood-o-Salam and Naat are continuing throughout the day.

In Karachi, streets and neighbourhoods have been illuminated with decorative lights. Special stalls have been established at various locations, where visitors can see replicas and religious displays, including models of Masjid al-Nabawi (PBUH) and the Holy Kaaba. In some areas, arrangements have also been made for the viewing of sacred relics.

Milad gatherings and processions are being organised in different parts of the city. The main Eid Milad-un-Nabi procession in Karachi is scheduled to leave Shahid Mosque in Kharadar at 2:30pm. It will pass through New Memon Masjid before concluding at Gulzar-e-Habib Mosque around Asr prayers.

In Lahore, mosques, homes, roads and government buildings have been decorated for the occasion. Religious programmes and Milad gatherings are being organised throughout the city, with participants offering special prayers for the country’s stability, development and prosperity.

The main procession in Lahore will begin from Railway Station Chowk. Large numbers of citizens are expected to participate in the procession and other religious activities organised across the city.

In Peshawar, special Milad gatherings and Naat recitation programmes are being held to pay tribute to the Prophet of Mercy (PBUH). Religious scholars and participants are highlighting the Prophet’s message of peace, compassion, brotherhood and justice.

Quetta has also been illuminated for the occasion. Religious gatherings, Naat programmes and processions are being organised at different locations. A central gathering is scheduled to take place at Bacha Khan Chowk.

In Islamabad, streets and public spaces have been decorated with lights and banners. Mosques are hosting special prayers and religious programmes, while residents are participating in gatherings celebrating the arrival of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The atmosphere across the capital reflects the religious significance of the occasion.

Similar celebrations are being held in cities and towns across the country. Processions, Milad gatherings, Naat recitations and special religious programmes are being organised in accordance with local arrangements.

Security measures have also been strengthened in several areas to ensure the peaceful conduct of processions and gatherings. Authorities and organisers have urged participants to maintain discipline and cooperate with security and traffic officials.

Meanwhile, K-Electric has announced that there will be no load-shedding across Karachi on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), providing relief to residents as the city hosts numerous religious gatherings and celebrations.
