He made the announcement while addressing the National Assembly. He said the development marks the beginning of a new phase of peace after a long period of conflict.

The Prime Minister said that “after a dark night of war, the sun of peace has risen.” He added that the United States and Iran have agreed to a permanent end to military operations on all fronts.

He said both sides showed patience, restraint, and wisdom during difficult negotiations. He described the agreement as a victory of diplomacy and dialogue over war.

Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan will host the official signing ceremony of the agreement in Geneva. He said the country welcomes this development and sees it as a positive step for global peace.

He congratulated the people of Pakistan and the international community on the breakthrough. He said the agreement is not only between two countries but a step toward wider regional stability.

The Prime Minister thanked the leadership of his own party. He specifically expressed gratitude to PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif for his guidance.

He also congratulated President Asif Ali Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and other political leaders for their support during the process.

Shehbaz Sharif said the agreement reflects the success of diplomacy and the failure of conflict. He said peace and dialogue have prevailed over war and destruction.

He extended congratulations to US President Donald Trump, Iran’s leadership including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and the Iranian President. He also appreciated the negotiating teams of both countries.

The Prime Minister praised the role of Qatar’s Emir in facilitating the talks. He said Qatar played a highly positive and constructive role throughout the process.

He also acknowledged the efforts of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Turkey’s President. He said their leadership contributed to reducing tensions and supporting diplomacy.

Shehbaz Sharif said all parties involved demonstrated maturity and patience during sensitive negotiations. He said this cooperation ultimately led to a successful agreement.
