Pakistan’s first digital city set to materialize

Pakistan’s inaugural digital city is on the verge of materializing thanks to the diligent efforts of the Special Investment Council (SIC).

In a noteworthy development, a finalized agreement between the Special Technology Zones Authority and the KPIT Board signals the commencement of this pioneering project.

Signed by Amir Salimi, ED Zones of STZA, and Dr. Akif, MD of the KPIT Board, the agreement ceremony witnessed the participation of officials from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government, STZA, and KPIT Board.

Per the agreement, the Pakistan Digital City is slated to be established in Haripur, with an anticipated cost of eight billion rupees and spanning eleven acres of land. The digital city is earmarked for operational readiness by 2026.

With a cutting-edge technology infrastructure covering an expansive 480,000 square feet, the Pakistan Digital City aims to generate over 4,000 high-tech employment opportunities.

Furthermore, the projected annual exports from the Pakistan Digital City are expected to make a substantial contribution to the economy, estimated between three to five million dollars.
