Pakistan’s foreign coaches will be announced after New Zealand series

The announcement of the foreign coaches for the Pakistan national cricket team is expected after the upcoming home series against New Zealand, according to sources familiar with the matter.

It’s been revealed that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalized their selections for the foreign coaching positions.

Gary Kirsten, former South African coach, is set to take on the role of white-ball coach, while Jason Gillespie, the former Australian cricketer, will be the red-ball coach.

Alongside the recruitment of foreign coaches, the PCB will also be hiring local coaches and additional sports staff.

The series against New Zealand will kick off with the first of five T20Is on April 18 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Previously, there were reports indicating Kirsten and Gillespie would join the team’s coaching staff by the end of April.

Notably, Mohammad Yousaf, a member of the national selection committee, had previously mentioned Kirsten as the head coach in a press conference before the official announcement by the PCB.
