Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has approved a significant increase in financial incentives for national and domestic cricketers.
The decision was made during the 84th meeting of the PCB Board of Governors chaired by Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore.
During the meeting, the Board approved the surplus budget for the 2026–27 financial year as well as the budget for PSL 12. It also approved granting the Pakistan Super League greater administrative and financial autonomy.
The domestic cricket budget was increased by Rs1 billion raising it from Rs3 billion to Rs4 billion. The Board also approved the new central contract structure and its payment mechanism. A rise in match fees for national team players was also approved.
For the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, players match fees have been increased from Rs30,000 to Rs100,000 while reserve players match fees have been raised from Rs15,000 to Rs50,000.
The meeting also approved the organization of women’s One-Day and T20 tournaments along with the allocation of funds for these events.
Additionally, the minimum monthly salary for regional ground staff has been increased to Rs42,000. Funding was also approved to make 12 more cricket grounds operational and to strengthen human resources.
The Board allocated Rs6.7 billion for the upgrade of the National Bank Cricket Stadium in Karachi and other cricket infrastructure.

PCB Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza briefed the Board on the proposed budget and financial outlook for the new fiscal year.
The meeting was attended by Board of Governors members Anwar Ghani, Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Ismail Qureshi, Sajjad Khokhar, Tanveer Ahmed, Adnan Malik, Zaheer Abbas, Additional Secretary Cabinet Division Mir Hassan Naqvi and other officials.
PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer and all PCB directors also attended the meeting.
