Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed gratitude to Qatar for its continued diplomatic support to Pakistan’s efforts aimed at promoting regional peace and reducing tensions.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Shehbaz held a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani on Sunday, during which both leaders exchanged views on regional and international developments.

The prime minister appreciated Qatar’s constructive role in supporting peace initiatives and encouraging dialogue-based solutions for regional stability. He said Pakistan values Qatar’s consistent diplomatic engagement and its efforts to build consensus among stakeholders.

Both leaders agreed on the importance of continued coordination and close communication to address shared regional challenges and support ongoing mediation efforts.

During the call, PM Shehbaz also conveyed warm regards to Qatar’s leadership and expressed hope for the upcoming visit of the Amir of Qatar to Pakistan, calling it an opportunity to further strengthen bilateral relations.

The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular high-level contact to follow up on mutual understandings and promote cooperation in diplomatic and regional matters.

This marks the second telephonic exchange between the two leaders within a week, reflecting ongoing consultations amid evolving regional dynamics.
