PML-N criticizes PPP’s performance in Thatta during massive gathering in Gharo

THATTA: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leaders expressed disappointment over the Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) failure to deliver during its 15-year rule in Sindh. Speaking at a large gathering in Gharo, where the PML-N convoy led by Keeso Mal Kheal Das Kohistani received a warm welcome from a considerable number of supporters, they emphasized that Nawaz Sharif would address the crises and ongoing lawlessness in Sindh.

Khel Das Kohistani criticized the PPP, stating that it had provided nothing to Thatta district during its three consecutive terms. He asserted that Nawaz Sharif showed greater concern for the people of Sindh than any other leader in the country. Kohistani highlighted the contributions of the PML-N Government, including the historic water accord in 1991, an anti-dacoit operation in the riverine areas of Sindh, and concrete steps for restoring peace in Karachi, the provincial capital.

Kohistani added that if voted to power, Nawaz Sharif would guide Pakistan toward progress, as he had done in the past. Former PML-N senator Nihal Hashmi commented on the current PPP leadership misusing the names of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto to garner votes. Hashmi claimed that during natural disasters, the people of Thatta were left helpless, and elected representatives did not provide support. He expressed confidence in the victory of PML-N candidate Raees Rasool Bux Jakhro in the upcoming elections.

Mocking the top leadership of PPP, Hashmi stated, “Bilawal would not come to Thatta as he was enjoying delicious foods of Punjab,” and asserted that PML-N was prepared to challenge PPP in Punjab. Independent Candidate of PS 76 Ghorabari Ayaz Shah Bukhari, enjoying support from PML-N, accused PPP rulers of selling out Sindh’s resources to business tycoons and builder mafias. He stated that the people of Thatta would support their challenge to the corrupt rulers of Sindh.

Bukhari emphasized that February 8 would be the day when the people of Sindh would decide their fate through voting. The gathering was attended by a large number of PML-N supporters and workers.
