PML-N loses three seats in the national assembly

This week, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) suffered a setback as three of its National Assembly seats were lost following the Lahore High Court’s (LHC) decision to nullify the victory notifications of the party’s candidates.

The Lahore High Court Bahawalpur bench ruled against the victory of Abd-ur-Rehman Kanju in the NA-154 constituency of Lodhran, despite Kanju securing victory in a recount. The decision was a result of a plea filed by the candidate of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Justice Shahid Karim also issued an order against the victory of Abd-ul-Qayyum Nahira from the NA-81 constituency of Gujranwala after an appeal was made by the PTI candidate in this regard.

It is worth mentioning that earlier, the PML-N had already lost the seat in NA-133 Nankana Sahib.
